Jewellery Care

Caring for your jewelry begins with being mindful of how to wear your pieces and when to take them off.

We know you’re going to want to keep it looking great. So here are some tips to help you.

As a golden rule, jewelry should be the last thing you put on, and the first thing you take off!

To optimize care, always remove your pieces before showering, sleeping, swimming, and/or working out.

Storing your jewellery properly is so important, Believe it or not, the bottom of your handbag is not the ideal place.

To avoid damage, store your jewellery separate from each other to minimise scratching and tangling.  Each piece comes in its own beautiful packaging so use those, or an individual ziplock bags and pop that in your jewelry box to keep out moisture and minimise oxidation when not in use.

Never store your jewelry in high moisture areas like the bathroom!

We are always here to consult with you on any questions you have regarding the care of your jewelry.

Solid Gold

The good news is investing in solid gold jewellery means that it is far less prone to wear and tear. Gold is tough stuff and can handle being worn every day. You can use a mild jewellery cleaner and polishing cloth to bring out the shine in your solid gold. Regular cleaning will help keep it looking as good as new.

SILVER & GOLD PLATED

At we use 925 sterling silver. Over time silver can tarnish; we recommend using a soft silver polishing cloth or a non-abrasive silver polish to keep it looking great. And don’t you dare wear it in a thermal bath. We know it’s fun looking glamorous in those hot pools but this can accelerate oxidising to the point where your silver can appear black.

All of our gold plated jewellery is 925 sterling silver plated with 3 microns of 22 carat gold. In order to prolong the life of your jewellery, please avoid perfumes and cosmetics, showering and cleaning products. Also avoid wearing gold plated items in bed; bedsheets rubbing against them can wear down the surface.

Gold plate will wear over time depending on how much it’s worn and the types of activities you do whilst wearing it. We can re-plate  is the lady to ask.

GEMSTONES

Gemstones require special care. Avoid impact against hard surfaces and contact with perfumes, cosmetics and household chemicals.

Are your gemstones looking a little dull and tired? You can bring back their sparkle by using a soft clean toothbrush, lukewarm water and a small amount of washing up liquid to remove any dirt. Regular cleaning will help to retain their glamour and shine.

DIAMONDS

Diamonds are some of the hardest members of the jewellery crew- but don’t be fooled by all you hear. As tough as they are, these guys can still be chipped and shattered. Watch out when you are doing rough activities and don’t let these beauties anywhere near bleach. Check your jewellery settings regularly to ensure your diamonds are still secure.

You can soak diamonds overnight in a very diluted formula of an eco glass cleaner, then give them a little brush with a really soft toothbrush. Shine them up with a lint free cloth and they are ready to sparkle again.
