I feel honored to be included in Tapestry of Time, a book that weaves together the stories of five remarkable female artists. Being part of this collection feels like a celebration of creativity, heritage, and the power of artistic expression.
The book was launched during a beautiful event at Menno Kroon Gallery, where our work was showcased in a week-long exhibition. It was incredibly moving to see our creations come together in one space.
Stylist Janine Smits, whose vision brought this project to life, saw something in each of us — a way we cherish old traditions and breathe new life into them. For me, that meant crafting jewellerry from rare minerals, gemstones, and recycled gold, turning nature’s treasures into wearable magic.
This book feels like a documentary of our journeys, a glimpse into the worlds we create and the stories we tell through our hands and hearts. I’m grateful to Janine for giving us this platform, for capturing the essence of our work, and for bringing us together in such a meaningful way.
It’s a reminder that art connects us across time, weaving threads of the past into the fabric of today.
